Union Savings Bank has promoted two of its bankers to senior management positions.
Belinda Ireland, who began at the bank as a teller in 1984, has been promoted to senior vice president of loan servicing, where she will oversee the daily operation of its consumer, commercial and residential servicing department and manage process improvements, automation and data mining initiatives.
Georgina Sherman has been named senior vice president audit manager, where she will manage the internal audit department, overseeing operational, financial and compliance audits in all areas of the bank.
Sherman began with Union Savings Bank in 2003, serving as assistant vice president, senior auditor, vice president, assistant audit manager and vice president, audit manager.
Before joining Union Savings Bank, Sherman served as vice president, operations consultant at Wachovia and as senior auditor at Union Trust, First Union and Wachovia. A resident of Woodbury, she holds a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Bridgeport.
The Danbury-based mutual bank has 28 offices and $2.5 billion in assets.
