Dave Sheridan has been named national sales manager for the independent agent channel at Protective Life Insurance Co.
Sheridan has 17 years of industry experience and comes to Protective Life from ING.
He will be based in West Hartford for the Birmingham, Ala., subsidiary of Protective Life Corp.
Also, the firm promoted Daniel Perrin to vice president and national sales manager for life insurance sales through the Edward Jones broker-dealer relationship. Before joining Protective in 2009 as director of Life Training, Perrin spent seven years as a life consultant for The Hartford.
The company employs more than 2,300 employees with offices throughout the U.S. It has annual revenues of approximately $3.6 billion and as of Dec. 31, 2011, had assets of $52.9 billion.
