Canadian solar-equipment maker Opel Technologies, with Shelton operations, says Chief Operating Officer Francisco “Frank” Middleton has retired again.
In the interim, Opel said Monday CEO Leon M. Pirhal will assume Middleton’s duties overseeing sales and marketing for the parent and Opel Solar, which has operations at 3 Corporate Drive in Shelton.
Middleton came out of retirement six years ago to direct development of Toronto-based Opel’s high concentration photovoltaic cells and solar tracking systems.
In addition, Javier Berrios is taking on an expanded role as vice president of Engineering and new product development.
