Shelton-based Edgewell Personal Care — the owner of the Schick and Wilkinson Sword shaving brands — says its Chief Operating Officer Dan Sullivan will leave the company effective Oct. 1, 2025 and he will not be replaced.
Instead, the company will implement what it’s calling a regional hub structure. The four hubs in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America will report directly to the CEO Rod Little.
Sullivan is leaving to pursue another opportunity, the company said.
His departure
comes about a year after the last leadership overhaul at the company. Formerly the CFO, Sullivan was appointed COO and given responsibility for Edgewell’s international operations in August of 2024. Francesca Weissman was appointed CFO, and Jessica Spence was hired in October of that year to oversee North America.
Edgewell said the new leadership structure eliminating the COO position is designed to create efficiencies, enhance accountability and accelerate decision making.
“We are elevating critical regional leaders, removing layers from the organization and creating a more agile, responsive organization,” Little said. “We are firmly committed to maintaining our operational excellence and better positioning the company for sustainable, long-term growth.”
In the third quarter of fiscal 2025, the company reported a decline in net sales of 3.2% to $627 million, compared to the prior year quarter. Adjusted operating income declined to $75 million from $94.8 million in the prior year.
At that time, Little attributed the poor performance to weak sun care seasons in North America and some Latin American markets. He said the operating environment remained challenging because of both tariffs and foreign exchange.
Edgewell operates in more than 50 markets, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Germany, Japan, the U.K. and Australia, with approximately 6,700 employees.
Its other consumer brands include Playtex feminine care products, Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropic sun care, and Wet Ones products.
