Shelton retail electricity provider Discount Power, Inc. is offering a new profit-sharing program with Connecticut nonprofits.
The company has doled out $47,000 to date to charities such as Ridgefield Playhouse, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, CT Special Olympics, Coastal United Way, Valley United Way, and Arthritis Foundation.
The company currently is seeking more charities to work with and offers $3 per month for every new Discount customer enrolled through the charities.
As a retail electricity provider, Discount Power offers customers of utilities Connecticut Light & Power and United Illuminating alternative prices on the generation portion of their bills.
