Shelton’s Baldwin Tech inks $1.3M press deal

Shelton publishing-equipment maker Baldwin Technology Co. inked a $1.3 million deal with a German-language newspaper in Switzerland for a retrofitting of a cleaning system for the newspaper’s printing press.

The newspaper, NZZ, will have the cloth-cleaning system for its printing facility in Zurich, Switzerland, installed later this year.

The deal is for 1 million euros, or $1.28 million.

Peter Hultberg, Baldwin vice president of global marketing, sales & service, said in a statement the NZZ transaction is an example of the continued European demand for Baldwin’s cleaning equipment to retrofit existing presses.
