Shelton-based Acme United Corp., a manufacturer and seller of cutting, measuring and first-aid products, has completed an acquisition aimed at expanding its emergency and medical product offerings, the company announced Thursday.
Acme said it acquired the assets of SLED Distribution LLC, which does business as My Medic, a Utah-based supplier of tactical, trauma and emergency medical kits and supplies sold primarily direct-to-consumer.
Acme said My Medic generated about $19 million in revenue in 2025.
The purchase price was $18.7 million. Acme said it paid $14.6 million at closing, with the remaining $4.1 million subject to holdbacks, including $1 million tied to revenue milestones through the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2027, and $3.1 million held back primarily to satisfy potential indemnification claims.
Acme said it plans to keep My Medic’s operations in Utah and expand the brand’s product offerings and distribution in the U.S. and Canada.
