The Village for Families & Children, which provides behavioral-health, youth-development and substance-abuse treatment for children, families and adults in Greater Hartford, on Wednesday said it hired Slap to oversee the organization’s development, communications and marketing as the new vice president for advancement.

As previously reported, Slap in January was hired by CTC to lead the statewide association’s technology-oriented companies and institutions. He stepped down from that post last Friday.

In February, Slap was elected to the Senate 5th district seat vacated by former Sen. Beth Bye, who stepped down to become commissioner of the Office of Early Childhood.
