Selig, Red Sox Nation unite in Hartford

Boston Red Sox CEO Larry Lucchino and Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig will headline a panel talk on baseball’s global impact March 24 at Hartford High School.

The World Affairs Council’s is sponsoring the Play Ball program’s 6 p.m. panel discussion that also will feature Japanese baseball Commissioner Ryozo Kato and ESPN analyst Bobby Valentine, a former big-league ballplayer and manager who also managed in Japan.

Following the discussion, the guests will move downtown to The Hartford Club for the World Affairs Council’s Global Citizen Award dinner  at 7:30 p.m.
