Security company inks five-year Hamden lease

A security consulting and engineering company has leased space at Hamden Center II for five years.

DVS, a division of Missouri-based Ross & Baruzzini, will occupy approximately 5,600 square feet on the building’s fifth floor. The property will serve as DVS’ new headquarters, according to an announcement from Press/Cuozzo Commercial Services in Hamden, which handled the lease.

DVS designs and engineers security solutions for companies and institutions worldwide. According to the company’s website, its clients range from banks to courthouses to hospitals to schools. It has done work for clients such as Bank of America, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the new Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown and the Yale University Art Gallery. DVS has been headquartered on Sherman Avenue in Hamden. Ross & Baruzzini acquired the company in 2015.

Stephen Press, co-principal of Press/Cuozzo Commercial Services, said the building has undergone significant renovations recently, including to its lobby, lavatories, lighting systems, HVAC controls and mechanical systems.

Hamden Center II is located at 2321 Whitney Ave., Hamden, at the intersection with Dixwell Avenue.
