Seaboard Solar ready for CT revolution

In anticipation of the Connecticut solar industry coming back to Connecticut, Danbury solar installer Seaboard Solar, LLC re-opened its headquarters.

The company was founded as Solair Development in 2010 but has done 95 percent of its work in New Jersey because of that state’s more progressive policy toward solar renewable energy credits.

When the Connecticut General Assembly passed a comprehensive energy policy bill into law in June, Seaboard decided to reaffirm its standing in the state. The company believes the renewable energy credit program created under the Connecticut law will create drastically boost the industry in the state.

“The Connecticut energy bill focuses on commercial and industrial solar projects of 1 megawatt or less. Our firm’s experience at just this size makes us perfectly positioned to help lead the state into the solar future,” said Joseph Rio, a partner with the firm, in a press release.
