How can Connecticut improve its family business environment?
Family businesses have a very unique problem as many successful family-owned and operated businesses do not survive succession. Fortunately, here in Connecticut, we have the University of New Haven, which has a wonderful Center for Family Business that is a unique resource for family-owned businesses of all sizes. We have been a charter member for the last 22 years and strongly recommend its services. The state of Connecticut needs to change. The state needs to work on lowering the cost of doing business in the state so that family businesses of all sizes can be competitive with our neighboring states.

Love what you do, share the spotlight with your family members, set your goals, stay focused on your objectives, and build lasting relationships.
