The longtime home of an insurance business will soon be a place to get haircuts.
Sangster Barber & Salon LLC has purchased a 2,100-square-foot, free-standing office building at 1828 Dixwell Ave., Hamden.
The property sold for $270,000 in a deal finalized on Aug. 18, according to an announcement.
Stephen Press, SIOR, of Press|Cuozzo Realtors in Hamden, represented the sellers, the Colonna family. Michael Stroud of Coldwell Banker represented the buyer.
According to Press, the Hamden property had housed Colonna Insurance Services, which is based in Wallingford, since the mid-1980s.
Sangster Barber & Salon provides haircuts, coloring, shampoo, shaving and grooming services. It is currently at 1164 Dixwell Ave., and will relocate to the new site in 2023.
