Sally’s Apizza, a Wooster Square dining destination for decades, is continuing its expansion, with its latest iteration to open in Fairfield in October.
The restaurant announced on its website that it has several new eateries in the works, with new details about its timeline.
The new Fairfield eatery is planned for 665 Commerce Dr.
After the Fairfield restaurant opens, the business plans to launch an eatery in Wethersfield on the Silas Deane Highway by the end of this year.
In 2023, Sally’s plans to open locations in Woburn, Mass., in the first-quarter; in Norwalk in the second quarter, and Newington in the third quarter, according to the announcement.
Sally’s originally announced its plans to expand last year.
Founded by Salvatore “Sally” Consiglio in 1938, Sally’s made Wooster Square in New Haven its sole home for decades.
Last fall, a new Sally’s in Stamford on Summer Street opened to fanfare, with long lines of customers waiting for its signature pies, known for their distinctive sauce, with a charred crust that is both chewy and crispy.
The business has already started hiring servers and workers for the Fairfield location.
Sally’s also makes its pizza available nationwide via Goldbelly.
