Hartford tech startup Wearsafe has raised more than $33,000 this week on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter.
The company has developed a wearable safety-alert button that allows a user to discretely send a call for help and location information to a network of friends or family so they can call emergency responders.
Wearsafe’s Kickstarter campaign, which launched Tuesday, had $33,525 in pledges from 290 backers on Thursday morning.
The company has 35 more days to reach its campaign goal of $75,000.
