SAFARI-THEMED GALA BENEFITS CMHA

Community Mental Health Affiliates’ Northwest Center hosted “An Evening Under the Stars — On Safari” in Falls Village. More than 250 guests were treated to an evening of African drumming, a display of African art and jewelry from Hemingway African Art Gallery of New York City and a feast in a tent designed to utilize Black Flag Farm’s resemblance to the African savannah. The gala raised more than $86,000. Pictured are, from left, Ray Gorman, CMHA president and CEO; Nick Pettinico, chairman of the board, and Stan Klukowski, a board member.

CMHA is a private nonprofit provider of behavioral health and substance abuse treatment. It is headquartered in New Britain, with 18 locations in seven cities and towns throughout northwest and central Connecticut.
