Asker A. Saeed has been appointed Day Pitney LLP’s new director of diversity. He will be based in Hartford.
Saeed joins the regional law firm from IAE International Aero Engines AG, a Pratt & Whitney joint venture, where he served most recently as vice president – customer business, commercial. Prior to joining the customer business organization at IAE, Saeed served as counsel and prior to that as assistant counsel at Pratt & Whitney.
He is a past chair of the Corporate Counsel Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and was previously in private practice with two major Connecticut law firms.
He is a co-founder and former president of the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut and has also served on the executive committee of the North American South Asian Bar Association.
The director of diversity is a member of the firm’s senior management team.
