Fairfield’s Sacred Heart University is moving by late summer into new classroom space in downtown Stamford’s Landmark Square as part of its expanding degree and course programs, authorities say.
Beginning this fall, the 10,000-square-foot Sacred Heart Graduate Center will offer digital marketing and human resource management degrees via its John F. Welch College of Business; film and television offered through the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Isabelle Farrington College of Education’s cohort certification program in educational leadership and administration.
Other degree work will include a master’s degree in teaching. Coursework in teacher preparation and literacy specialist programs is also available, and a doctorate in education is planned for 2014. The
The center also will house administrative offices.
SHU currently offers continuing education initiatives, limited undergraduate classes and corporate training in Stamford, in the Riverbend section.
Separately Wednesday, SHU announced the launch of a new master’s program in cybersecurity, with an introduction to information security, risk and threat management, and security architecture.
