Vermont-based Pete’s RV Center has officially assumed ownership of South Windsor recreational vehicle dealer Van’s RV Center, joining together New England’s longest established RV dealers.
The move came as Van’s owner Mark VanOstrand was looking to step out of day-to-day operations of the dealership that first opened in 1963.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal closed on Sept. 1.
Pete’s RV was founded in 1952, operating out of South Burlington, Vt. The company owns a second location in Schererville, Ind., which it purchased in 2011.
