S. Windsor commercial projects approved

Two proposed development projects in South Windsor, including flex contractor space and a small commercial complex, have been approved by the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission.

One project calls for a new duplex commercial building at 1014 Sullivan Ave., with two 1,260-square-foot spaces. One side has a drive-thru window for a restaurant.

The developer is Scott Leonard of Rocky Hill, who also built a commercial complex in the adjacent lot at 1000-1006 Sullivan Ave., with a bank, salon and Subway sandwich shop.

Leonard owns both properties as principal of Glastonbury 2815 LLC and M.E.G.L.

Plans by Trio Investment Properties LLC of South Windsor for a four-building, multi-tenant “flex space” along Connecticut Avenue were also approved.

The development totals 39,850 square feet of space on nearly 6.5 acres at 75 Connecticut Ave., in South Windsor’s industrial zoning district.

The 26 tenant units range in size from 1,125 to 3,000 square feet, and each contain office and flex space and an overhead door for such uses as plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical, industrial, and general contracting businesses.
