A South Glastonbury startup that bills its online music streaming platform as the next Spotify has raised nearly $10 million, it announced.
Cür Media, previously known as Raditaz, went through an alternative public offering in late January. That included a reverse merger with a New York shell company and a simultaneous fund raise of $4.1 million in capital from private investors.
Cür said the additional $5.5 million was due to higher than expected investor interest.
The company, which plans to launch its web and mobile applications later this year, now has 24.5 million shares of common stock outstanding.
