R&R Freight Logistics has leased a 100,000-square-foot space in a warehouse and distribution facility under construction at 850 Murdock Ave. in Meriden.
The company, based in Branford, provides truck transportation and warehousing services to its customers across North America.
The Geenty Group, Realtors of Branford, which brokered the deal, indicated the total lease value is in excess of $4.5 million.
R&R Freight’s principals include Timothy Greene, Russell D’Agostino and Robert Robitaille. The company will occupy approximately two-thirds of the 163,000-square-foot building, according to an announcement. Once finished, the building will feature 26-foot-high ceilings, truck docks, a drive-in door and offices built to suit R&R’s purposes. The Meriden property has about 48 acres and is near the I-91 corridor.
The landlord is Mark Development, LLC.
Kevin Geenty, vice-president of The Geenty Group, was the sole broker. According to Geenty, the deal is the “culmination of a multi-year consolidation and expansion of R&R’s operations.”
Geenty in March was involved in the sale of the company’s former base of operations on Fowler Road in North Branford.
