A chain of Mexican restaurants with locations in New York, Boston and Washington, D.C. will open its newest location in West Hartford on Wednesday.
Rosa Mexicano is in a 6,000-square-foot space in Blue Back Square, across from the Cheesecake Factory, at 51 Isham Road. It has seating for 276 patrons and a private dining room.
The restaurant has enclosed, outdoor patio dining and offers an “elevated fiesta experience,” including signature Mexican dishes, tableside guacamole preparation and creative cocktails, including the popular frozen pomegranate margarita.
There will be more than 100 varieties of tequila and agave-based spirits to choose from, and the 40-person bar is Rose Mexicano’s largest in the country.
Rosa Mexicano is headquartered in New York and began with a small restaurant in the Upper East Side, founded by chef Josefina Howard in 1984. Now, the company has restaurants across the northeast.
Rosa Mexicano is owned by TriSpan Rising Stars LLP, which acquired the brand in March 2018.
