In a further sign of recovery among Connecticut manufacturers, Rogers Corp. in Killingly on Tuesday raised its second-quarter outlook for sales and profits.
The maker of printed-circuit materials for electronics and aerospace and high-performance foam used in casings for portable wireless devices, shoes and railcar seats  now projects second quarter net sales of approximately $90 million to $94 million, up from projected guidance of $83 million to $87 million on May 3.
Earnings for the second quarter are now projected to be 40 cents to 45 cents a share, up from 30 cents to 35 cents.
President and CEO Robert D. Wachob said sales in some of Rogers’ core markets have been stronger than customers’ forecasts, particularly in printed-circuit materials for China and foam for mobile Internet devices.
Rogers said second-quarter results will be released in the first week of August along with its outlook for the third quarter.
