Dr. John Rodis, president of St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, and James Wakim, chief operating officer for Simon Konover Co., have joined the University of St. Joseph’s board of trustees.
Rodis, the first physician to serve as president of St. Francis since its founding, is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine. He also serves as a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at UConn School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.
Wakim is a returning member of the board for the West Hartford university after serving from 2012 to 2015. Wakim, a lawyer, will bring his law background and expertise in real estate to the board.
