Computer systems integrator Tallan Inc. in Rocky Hill has acquired twentysix New York, expanding the scope of Microsoft-focused services Tallan provides to enterprise customers in that major market, according to Redmond Channel Partner.
The deal is particularly noteworthy because Tallan is one of only 40 solution providers that are designated as Microsoft National Systems Integrators, or NSIs, according to Red Channel, which serves the Microsoft’s channel partner community.
According to Tallan’s web site, its customers include electronics chain Best Buy and clothing retailer Talbot’s and books retailer Barnes & Noble. The online magazine did not report terms of the deal.
With a presence in Boston, Tampa, the Los Angeles area including Orange County, Calif., and Washington, DC, the acquisition of twentysix New York gives Tallan an entre into the lucrative New York market.
While both are Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, the deal extends Tallan’s portfolio of services to include key Microsoft .NET technologies including SQL Server development and the use of Silverlight for business critical applications, according to officials at the newly combined company.
