The developer of recently unveiled Alterra-Rocky Hill has installed an electric-vehicle charging station for residents of the apartment community.
New Jersey-based Continental Properties said Alterra-Rocky Hill is the first privately-owned residential development in Connecticut to offer its residents such a service.
The charging station was built by The Juice Bar, which is based in Tolland.
Continental said it green guidelines for all new construction that include using recycled building materials where possible, powering the clubhouse with solar panels and using LED street lighting.
Correction: The original version of this story gave an incorrect location for Continental Properties’ headquarters. The company is based in New Jersey.
