Vernon banker William J. McGurk continues his pre-retirement victory lap with a stop Friday in New York City to ring the Nasdaq market’s closing bell.
McGurk, president and CEO of Rockville Financial, parent of Rockville Bank, and his successor, William H.W. “Bill” Crawford IV, will preside over the closing bell to celebrate the community bank’s becoming a fully public-owned company.
McGurk officially retires at the bank’s April 26 annual board meeting.
