Vernon’s Rockville Bank is hosting a “shred day” April 9 for the public to have their personal documents professionally destroyed free of charge.
Citing identity theft as the No. 1 consumer complaint to federal authorities, the bank will offer the free service on its branch grounds at 1645 Ellington Road in South Windsor.
Infoshred of East Windsor will manage the shredding.
