The Manchester branch of Rockville Bank received the LEED Silver recognition for its environmentally friendly design.
The U.S. Green Building Council awarded the bank its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification on Monday for the office at 768 North Main St. in Manchester.
The branch is the first bank in Connecticut with its entire property using environmentally friendly technology and engineering both indoors and outdoors.
Rockville Bank has 22 branch locations throughout Connecticut, including Hartford, East Windsor, Rockville and Enfield.
