Robinson & Cole names four partners

Four attorneys, two of them in Connecticut, have been elected to partnership at Robinson & Cole.

Nuala E. Droney becomes a partner in the law firm’s Hartford Litigation Section while Stephen E. Cooper becomes a partner in the Stamford-based Business Section.

Droney focusing her practice on complex litigation, including antitrust, patent, trade secret, trademark, unfair trade practices, fraud, and contract disputes. She maintains both a civil practice and a criminal practice.

Droney recently began a pilot program in Connecticut state court to provide free legal services to victims of domestic violence. By appointment of Governor Dannel P. Malloy, she serves on the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority’s Board of Directors.

Cooper represents clients in all aspects of corporate and transactional law, including venture capital and private equity financings, debt financings, recapitalizations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securities law compliance, and general corporate matters. He is a member of the firm’s Emerging Companies, Private Equity, and Venture Capital Practice Group.

Also elected partner are Debbie J. Gezon, who focuses on real estate law in the Los Angeles office, and Eugene P. Murphy, who is based in Sarasota, Fla., and concentrates his practice in liability and property insurance coverage matters, as well as products liability defense.

Robinson & Cole has approximately 225 lawyers in nine offices.
