Roadwork detours in place near Hartford’s Bushnell Park

Detours at Bushnell Park North in Hartford are in place for milling and paving work that began Sunday and stretches through December.

The work affects Ford, Jewell, Trumbull, Wells and Gold streets and is weather dependent and subject to change due to field conditions, according to the city of Hartford’s Department of Public Works.

Night work Monday involves milling Trumbull Street from Jewell to Gold streets and Wells Street from Gold to Pulaski Circle, while Wednesday night work involves paving in those same areas. Tuesday day and evening work involves paving Ford and Jewell streets. Thursday night work includes paving Gold Street and its intersection with Main Street.

Motorists are instructed to follow all construction signage and take direction from Hartford police. If driving on a milled surface, drivers should take care to avoid raised structures, the city’s DPW said.
