Longueuil, Quebec-based The Jean Coutu Group Inc. said it expects to close the sale of its 1,850 Brooks and Eckerd drugstores and six distribution centers to Rite Aid Corp. by next month. The deal was first announced back in August. Separately, Rite Aid announced plans to divest 24 stores after the purchase, including some in Connecticut. Rite Aid did not say which Nutmeg State stores would be divested.
