Richards hired as Hartford HealthCare’s first chief nursing officer

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) has named Amanda (Mandy) Richards its executive vice president and the system’s first-ever chief nursing officer.

Most recently, Richards was chief nursing officer at Allina Health, a nonprofit system with 12 hospitals in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She has advocated for nurses as a member of the American Association of Nurse Executives and is recognized nationally for her leadership.

As chief nursing officer, Richards will play a key role in HHC’s quality and safety efforts and also enhance the system’s training and education of nurses.
