Richard P. Garmany Fund and Aetna rejuvenate Hartford community garden

A new fence for a half-acre community garden was recently unveiled on Niles Street in Hartford. The fence was made possible by a grant from the Richard P. Garmany Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. While adding to the visual appeal of the garden and community, the fence also protects the healthy food cultivated by the neighborhood. The garden is one of 16 community gardens run by Hartford nonprofit KNOX where city residents can grow vegetables, herbs, and fruits.
