Reviczky elected president of national association of state agriculture departments

Steven K. Reviczky, Connecticut agriculture commissioner, has been elected president of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) for 2017-18, the first time a Connecticut commissioner has held the position in NASDA’s 100-year history.

NASDA is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association that represents the elected and appointed commissioners, secretaries, and directors of the departments of agriculture in all 50 states and four U.S. territories.

Reviczky will lead the work of the reinvigorated NASDA Foundation, which has a new strategic plan guiding its work to 2020, and a new mission to advance agriculture and cultivate other societal benefits by empowering state departments of agriculture.
