A proposal has been filed to convert the historic Chester Bulkley House at 184 Main St. in Old Wethersfield from a commercial bed-and-breakfast into a Southern Italian restaurant with outdoor dining.
The application was submitted by 3E Main LLC, which is controlled by Enriketa Kroi, according to state records. The applicant is listed as Erigels Kroi. Property records show 3E Main LLC purchased the property in May 2024 for $665,000.
Project materials outline plans for an upscale, business-casual restaurant inspired by Sicilian cuisine, with a menu focused on seafood, seasonal ingredients and Southern Italian flavors. The restaurant would be open daily for lunch and dinner, generally operating from late morning through about 10 p.m., and would seek a liquor permit.
The owners project the restaurant would employ about 20 people.
According to the application, the restaurant is intended to serve both Old Wethersfield residents and visitors and would host private events and wine-focused dinners.
The project is scheduled to be discussed at the Wethersfield Planning and Zoning Commission’s meeting on Jan. 6.
