New Haven Mayor John DeStefano is expected to announce that he won’t seek re-election later this year after 20 years in office, The Associated Press reports.
The New Haven Register and the New Haven Independent report the 57-year-old Democrat will announce Tuesday that he won’t seek an 11th two-year term. He’s the longest-serving mayor in city history.
