Rell designates $2M for Connect-Ability program

In an effort to help people with disabilities join the workforce, Gov. M. Jodi Rell announced that the state will provide $2 million in funding to nonprofit agencies, employers or schools through its Connect-Ability program. The Department of Social Services’ Bureau of Rehabilitation Services will collect bids from organizations that focus on recruitment, hiring and promotion of people with disabilities. The department expects to award 10 contracts, up to $200,000 each, for the use of developed plans.
