Community Health Center Inc. will throw the doors open June 24 on the $3 million renovation of its Meriden health clinic.
The redesigned clinic at 134 State St. has the newest technology and more space to boost its medical treatment capacity by one third, said Director Matt Vinikas.
CHC will hold its open house from 5 to 7 p.m.
At the ceremony, CHC will honor state House Speaker Chris Donovan (D-Meriden) and other Meriden delegates during the event. CHC credits Donovan with helping it obtain $2.5 million toward renovation of nearly half the 35,000-square-foot facility. The 15-month project began in February 2009 and ended in May 2010.
“The renovation allowed us to create additional medical capacity as well as a better integration of behavioral health and medical services,” Vinikas said
Opened in 1991, CHC of Meriden medical, dental and mental health care for all ages.
