Recycling Partnership Benefits Mystic Aquarium

A traveling teacher and touch tank from Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration were at the Shaw’s Supermarket in East Hampton to celebrate the start of a new partnership that encourages reusable bag use. Customers were able to learn more about the aquarium’s conservation efforts and touch some special marine creatures. Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration — divisions of Sea Research Foundation Inc. — and Shaw’s have partnered to offer an incentive to customers to purchase new, reusable Polar Bear shopping bags this winter. The bags are being sold at all Shaw’s Supermarkets through Feb. 28.
