David Ives, executive director of the Albert Schweitzer Institute at Quinnipiac University, has been appointed to the board of directors of the World Centers of Compassion for Children International, a nonprofit that strives to create a strong political voice for children in areas of stress because of war, hunger, social, economic or political upheaval and to respond to their needs materially and emotionally.
Ives was previously a member of the organization’s advisory board.
