Quinnipiac University in Hamden has hired John Pettit as a web writer and editor.
In the position, Pettit, a Southington resident, will generate and maintain content for the university’s website.
Pettit comes from the Meriden Record-Journal, where he was an assistant sports editor.
Pettit holds a master’s degree from Quinnipiac — where he has served as an adjunct professor — and a bachelor’s degree in from the University of Connecticut.
