Nonstop service from Bradley International Airport to Dublin may be paying off in academic dividends for Quinnipiac and an Irish university.
Quinnipiac University and Dublin City University in Ireland have reached a five-year agreement that will allow for an exchange of students, faculty and staff from both institutions. The universities also agreed to collaborate on research projects and to develop an annual bilateral seminar series. Quinnipiac has signed similar agreements with Ireland’s Maynooth University and University College Cork.
“The partnership with Dublin City University will build on the important existing academic and cultural exchanges between Quinnipiac University and various institutions in Ireland,” said Mark Thompson, executive vice president and provost at Hamden-based Quinnipiac.
Each university will use its study abroad criteria to select students to participate in the exchange program. Both universities will target that an equal number of students are part of the exchange each academic year.
