Quassy Amusement Park is celebrating its 115th anniversary this year with events throughout the summer and the introduction of a new ride.
The Super Himalaya will be Quassy’s newest attraction this summer. The high-speed, circular ride follows a steep up-and-down track and moves forward and backward.
Quassy, which is in Middlebury, also announced several events taking place at the park throughout the summer.
On June 3, local students will gather at the Carousel Theatre for a musical festival, and June 5 will see the return of magic duo Jim and Sandy Sistri, who will perform shows Tuesdays through Sundays throughout the summer.
June will also be the start of Wings & Things, a ticketed event featuring food and including an evening wristband for rides and the waterpark.
In July, Quassy will celebrate Independence Day with a 3-D fireworks display. Wings & Things will continue this month, and July 15 will mark the return of Gospel Day.
Quassy said the events will also be available throughout August to those unable to attend in June or July.
