Quinnipiac University’s fledgling medical school said it has received an electronic health record system worth $7.6 million.
The donation for the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine comes from OmniMD, based in Tarrytown, N.Y., and is part of a four-year agreement to provide 3,600 software licenses.
The benefit to OmniMD is that Quinnipiac students will become accustomed to its cloud-based software, much like Google provides free Gmail services to some universities.
