PZC to hear proposal for new building at Enfield Commons

A public hearing will be held Tuesday night before Enfield’s planning and zoning commission on an application for a three-tenant commercial building with a drive-thru and two outdoor dining patios located on the former Plaza Azteca property in the Enfield Commons.

The applicant, Paramount Newco Realty, wants to redevelop the property by demolishing the existing vacant 8,500-square-foot former restaurant building at 39 Hazard Ave. and replacing it with a 7,000-square-foot, three-tenant building.

The new building would have three tenant spaces with a single drive-thru for the west tenant and two outside dining areas in front.

The project site includes the parcel at 39 Hazard Ave. and a small portion of adjoining 25 Hazard Ave.

The plan includes reworking existing parking and driveways to accommodate the new drive-thru.

Work on the adjacent 25 Hazard Ave. involves reconstructing parking and loading areas next to Aspen Dental and minor work north of the new building.

There will be no short or long-term environmental impacts associated with the construction or operation of the new facility. The project site is completely developed for commercial purposes at this time.

There are no wetland or watercourse resources affected by this project.

The new building will be served by public water, sanitary sewer, and gas utilities.
