Sabra Purtill was appointed treasurer at The Hartford, expanding her role to oversee the corporate treasury group, including the company’s relationship with banks and rating agencies, in addition to her current role as head of investor relations. Purtill succeeds Robert Paiano, who was recently named chief risk officer, as treasurer. Purtill continues to report to The Hartford’s chief financial officer, Beth Bombara.
Purtill has been senior vice president and head of investor relations for The Hartford since 2011 and her career in financial services includes banking and rating-agency experience. Before coming to The Hartford, she was managing director of investor relations and communications at Assured Guaranty Ltd.
