The Hartford Financial Services Group today announced that Sabra Purtill has been named senior vice president and head of investor relations.
She will assume the role June 13 and will be reporting to Christopher Swift, the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Purtill comes to The Hartford with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has held a number of leadership positions and has specialized in research, analysis and communications activities in and related to the insurance industry for the majority of her career.
Most recently, she was managing director of investor relations at Assured Guaranty Ltd.
Prior to joining Assured Guaranty in 2003, Purtill was senior vice president of corporate finance at ACE Limited, which she joined in 2002. While at ACE, she focused on investor relations, financial communications and strategic finance projects.
Purtill was a sell-side analyst following the insurance industry from 1996 to 2002 and a commercial and investment banker focused on insurance and non-depository financial institutions from 1987 to 1996.
