New Haven’s City Plan Commission is due to hold a public hearing next week on plans for a new medical office building on Sargent Drive that will include a methadone clinic and a pharmacy.
The APT Foundation is slated to begin construction on the 40,500 square-foot building in the fall if it can obtain the necessary permissions and hopes to complete the development by summer of 2026.
It’s working with consulting engineers Pustola & Associates.
Part of the lot, which is designated as 0 Sargent Drive, is currently owned by the State of Connecticut.
The development would also include 99 parking spots.
The city is proposing that healthcare provider APT relocate its current methadone clinic on Congress Avenue in the Hill neighborhood. APT specializes in the treatment of substance use and mental health disorders.
The public hearing is scheduled for 6pm on Tuesday, July 22.
